Then, the weighted decision matrix is determined using Eq. (3.10). It involves the multiplication of DEMATEL weights (Dj) with the performance values of the normalized decision matrix (Nij)

(3.10)

where T is the weighted decision matrix, Dj is the DEMATEL weight of the criteria/output parameters.Step 7: Identification of positive and negative ideal solution

In this step, the positive ideal solution (I+) and negative ideal solution (I−) are identified from the weighted decision matrix using Eqs. (3.11) and (3.12). The positive ideal solution indicates the maximum value for beneficiary criteria/output parameters and minimum value for non-beneficiary criteria/output parameters among the various alternatives in the weighted decision matrix. The negative ideal solution indicates the minimum value for beneficiary criteria/output parameters and maximum value for non-beneficiary criteria/output parameters.
